The South Georgia String Project is collaborating with VSU Continuing Education to offer group classes for stringed instruments this summer. This program provides affordable stringed instrument instruction to individuals aged 8 to adult*.

Students who have completed at least one semester of strings classes are eligible enroll in this class.

Instruments include Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass. South Georgia String Project is a joint venture of the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra and the Department of Music at Valdosta State University.

  • 4 Mon & 4 Wed, May 15 - June 7
  • 4:30-5:20 p.m at the Regional Center for Continuing Education
  • Fee: $49 per student (Checks payable to VSU Continuing Education)
  • Family discounted rate: for 3 or more immediate family members - flat fee of $109 (call Sue Bailey for details and restrictions)

Please note: Due to other activities scheduled in the same space, children should not be dropped off before 4:15 p.m. and must be picked up by 5:30 p.m.

The Regional Center for Continuing Education Auditorium is located at 903 North Patterson Street, directly across from The Crescent.
