Welcome to the 2022 Georgia Undergraduate Research Conference

The Georgia Undergraduate Research Conference is a regional, multidisciplinary conference open to undergraduates both within Georgia and beyond. GURC 2022 will be hosted by Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia, on November 11th & 12th, 2022. We invite you to join us for this 11th annual conference to present your research, performances, or artwork and to learn more about the exciting undergraduate work being conducted by other students in the region. GURC welcomes all fields of research and creative activities.

Important Dates

  • Abstract Submissions  Open Aug.. 1, 2022--Close Sept. 23, 2022 by 11:59 pm
  • Faculty Reviews due to VSU by Sept. 30 by 11:59 pm
  • Student Acceptance/Non-Acceptance Letters sent Oct. 3, 2022
  • Registration/Accommodations Opens online Sept. 19, 2022 (onsite registration Nov. 11 & 12 will be cash or check only)
  • Agenda Published as soon as we can get students to register. (Payment can be later).

Face-to-Face or Webinar Options

Students should state in their abstracts if they want face-to-face option ($50.00 registration fee) or Webinar option ($20.00 registration fee). 

On-Site option will include a Friday night reception and Saturday breakfast and lunch.

Best in Category Prizes

Students (both f2f an Webinar) will be considered for these prizes.  Finished projects must be sent to our VSU email by October 16th for consideration.

About GURC

GURC strives to be the premiere Southeastern regional undergraduate research and creative conference. This conference is hosted once a year to promote original student scholarship conducted with faculty and staff mentors. GURC also serves as a networking conference to assist undergraduates with career and graduate school opportunities.
