Located in the center of Costa Rica, San José is the capital of this Central American country. You will enjoy its historic sites and all that a university town has to offer such as live music venues, film festivals, theater productions, crafts, restaurants, sports and shopping. Classes are held at ILISA Language Institute, prime educational institution where the professors utilize modern communicative techniques for language instruction.

Also included in the program: Round trip airfare from one of the US airports to San José’s, airport transfers, full room and board for four weeks in Costa Rica, museum entrance tickets, weekly laundry service, health insurance, and all program fees for ILISA Language Institute.

: May 13 - June 2, 2018
Location: San Jose, Costa Rica
Cost: $3,700 plus VSU tuition and fees. If you are taking only summer study abroad courses you will be charged tuition for the number of credit hours you take plus $295 institutional fee. If you take 4 credit hours or less on study abroad, you will only be charged half of the institutional fee ($147.50).  

The program cost includes one day excursions to the Doka coffee plantation, La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Poás Volcano; Irazú volcano and Cartago, as well as overnight excursion (two nights) to Punta Leona Beach Resort, on All-Inclusive basis (certain limits apply). Optional excursions are available upon additional fee.
