Dr. Tory Candea is a speech-language pathologist who has been serving the students and clients at Georgia Southern University’s RiteCare Center for Communication Disorders since 2019. She has a passion for clinical education and is grateful for the opportunity to share her love for the field of speech-language pathology with future clinicians.

In 2023, through a partnership with Faith Equestrian Therapeutic Center, she initiated the Manes and Memories Program with a dual mission: improving communication and connection for those with challenging illnesses and improving the clinical skills of graduate student clinicians. Since then, she has integrated animal-assisted therapy into her clinical coursework to promote understanding of animals as therapy partners in clinical settings.
