MBA Admission Requirements
NOTICE!
Statement regarding COVID-19
As of August 16, 2021, due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, applicants seeking Spring 2022 admission will NOT be required to submit GMAT and/or GRE scores. Admission for these applicants will be determined solely on their GPA and full-time professional experience. However, if an applicant wishes to submit an official standardized test score to Valdosta State University, they can and that score will be considered for their admission. Admissions decisions made before this statement being issued are still valid; this policy is not retroactive.
VSU's MBA Admission Committee makes all MBA admission decisions AFTER the student is admitted to VSU's Graduate School. In assessing a candidate's likelihood of completing the MBA Program, the Committee evaluates the entire application packet, including GMAT scores (on the test and the analytical writing assessment) and the undergraduate grade point average. For recent VSU MBA classes, the average GMAT score was 534 and the average undergraduate GPA was 3.15. Resumes and responses to the VSU MBA Program Essay Questionnaire are also reviewed. For an applicant whose first language is not English, the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL score is required and considered. Finally, each student must complete the following prerequisite courses (or their equivalent) with a grade of "C" or better before admission to VSU's MBA program.
