VSU's WebMBA Admission Committee makes all MBA admission decisions AFTER the student is admitted to VSU's Graduate School.  In assessing a candidate's likelihood of successfully completing the Georgia WebMBA® Program, the Committee evaluates the entire application packet, including GMAT scores (on the test and on the analytical writing assessment), the undergraduate grade point average, and the professional work experience. For recent VSU MBA classes, the average GMAT score was 534 and the average undergraduate GPA was 3.15. Resumes and responses to the VSU MBA Program Essay Questionnaire are also reviewed. For an applicant whose first language is not English, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score is required and considered.

Applicants must attain a minimum of 950 points based on the following formula:

  •     GMAT score + (200 x GPA) >= 950,

  •     a minimum GMAT score of 400, and

  •     a minimum overall GPA of 2.50.

Finally, each student must complete four prerequisite courses (or their equivalent) prior to admission to VSU's WebMBA Program. The prerequisite courses are Managerial Accounting (ACCT2102), Financial Accounting (ACCT2101), Business Statistics(BUSA2100), and, Financial Management (FIN3350). Generally, a student with undergraduate business degrees will have satisfied these prerequisites. Before taking any WebMBA courses, WMBA 1000 A - Student Orientation MUST be completed.

Some p prerequisites may be satisfied with acceptable CLEP test scores. For information regarding CLEP testing, please contact Valdosta State University's Office of Testing at 229-245-3878.

If completed at another AACSB-accredited graduate business program with a grade of "B" or better, a maximum of six semester hours of graduate credit may be counted toward the requirement for the Georgia WebMBA®  Program. Courses used to complete another graduate degree cannot be counted toward the WebMBA degree.
