About the Program:
Valdosta State University is proud to announce the launch of our 2022 College Readiness Through Civic Engagement initiative, which is a Knowledge For Freedom Program funded by the Teagle Foundation. This program will offer rising high school seniors from VSU's 41-county service area an opportunity to engage in engaging discussions, critical reading, and service learning projects that deepen Teagle Fellows' understanding and appreciation of civics through the humanities and social sciences. Students will also experience college life, build connections with VSU professors and peer mentors, and gain familiarity with the university environment to ensure future success. For those admitted, this is a fully funded opportunity to live and learn at VSU for three weeks in the summer.
