Fall Explosion

Fall Explosion jump-starts the academic year with two action-packed weeks of events hosted by departments across campus. Designed to ease the transition back to school, the series helps students get involved, connect with resources, and discover student organizations. The celebration culminates in The Happening—VSU’s largest vendor fair—welcoming more than 800 students to explore campus and community opportunities.

Homecoming

Homecoming is a time-honored VSU tradition, celebrating both the spirit of today’s Blazers and the legacy of those who came before us. This year’s celebration carried special meaning as students returned to campus following the devastation of Hurricane Helene, making the week’s sense of community and resilience even more powerful. Daily events and competitions—including a concert, pep rally, and Casino Night—brought energy and excitement to campus, culminating in the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen. Homecoming remains a beloved celebration of pride, connection, and the enduring strength of Blazer Nation.
