Strategic Research & Analysis serves as Office of Institutional Research for the university. This office facilitates the collection, analysis, and interpretation of institutional data to support planning and effective decision making for the President and Vice Presidents.

2024-2025 Highlights

Refined the Campus Enrollment Monitoring system to track not just enrollment, but also retention and student persistence.

Implemented SLATE Student Success to better support student progress and engagement throughout their VSU journey.

Developed and launched an Early Alert submission and workflow, helping staff identify and assist students in need of timely support.

Looking ahead: 2025-2026 Goals

Embed all undergraduate faculty advisor appointments in SLATE, making it easier for students to connect with their advisors and stay on track.

Enhance the Early Alert system to ensure timely identification and support of students who need intervention.

Develop and launch a comprehensive advising workflow, creating a smoother, more consistent experience for students and advisors alike.
