The Counseling Center at Valdosta State University provides free and confidential mental health services to active VSU students, with a focus on empowering individuals for success in academic, professional, and personal pursuits.

Increased student engagement through targeted social media and marketing campaigns.

Continued partnership with the Counselor Education program, serving as a training site for practicum and internship students.

Partnered with Blazer Wellness and Career Opportunities to enhance student outreach and holistic support.

Introduced teletherapy options for online and commuter students, removing barriers to mental health services.

Looking ahead: 2025-2026 Goals

Establish satellite offices across campus to make counseling services more accessible to all students.

Repaint and upgrade physical spaces to create a more welcoming and therapeutic environment.

Partner with the Student Government Association on events and initiatives that destigmatize mental health and encourage open dialogue about mental wellness.

Advocate for the addition of psychiatric and medication management services to better meet student needs.
