The mission of Campus Recreation is to provide the VSU community with experiential opportunities through programming, services, and access to recreational facilities. Campus Recreation strives to promote a healthy college experience that builds the foundation for lifelong wellness.

2024-2025 Highlights
The front lobby got a fresh look with new flooring and updated turnstiles, creating a welcoming and modern entrance for all students.
Intramural program offerings have grown, giving students even more ways to compete, stay active, and have fun. With the new additions, intramural participation has increase by 21%.
Looking ahead: 2025-2026 Goals
Complete upgrades to improve traffic flow and capture accurate patron data, ensuring a safer and more efficient experience for all students.
Increase student usage by 10% of the student population, making it easier for more Blazers to stay active and engaged on campus.
Partner with Blazer Wellness to promote holistic approaches to student well-being, supporting mind, body, and spirit.

Rock the Rec Rock the Rec is a signature Fall Explosion event that invites all students to dive into fun while embracing holistic engagement and physical activity. Students can enjoy a Movie Night in the pool, participate in lively games, and join energizing fitness classes—all designed to combine wellness, recreation, and community connection in one unforgettable evening.

Champ Nights Champ Nights mark the exciting conclusion of VSU’s intramural season, celebrating the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship of student athletes. Students enjoy free giveaways, delicious food, and the thrill of watching the championship games where winners of each sport are crowned. It’s a festive night full of fun, community, and campus pride! |
