Blazer Wellness is dedicated to serving the needs of VSU students by providing resources, programming, and events focusing on aspects of health and well-being. This effort is accomplished by collaborating with departments across campus in support of a holistic model.

2024-2025 Highlights
For over 25 years, VSU has proudly received the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety Grant—an essential funding source for alcohol awareness and prevention programs. In the past two years, the award amount has grown, allowing even greater impact through education and outreach initiatives.
Student participation in Blazer Wellness initiatives has surged over the past year, reflecting a growing commitment to health, balance, and well-being across campus.
Looking ahead: 2025-2026 Goals
Empower students to make informed choices through education, outreach, and proactive prevention programs that encourage safe and healthy decisions.
Enhance visibility and accessibility of campus wellness programs so every student knows where to find the support they need to thrive.

Event Highlight: Destress Fest

Destress Fest Held each fall and spring before finals, Destress Fest gives students the chance to unwind and recharge. From a petting zoo and DIY stress-relief activities to coloring, food, and more, this campus favorite brings the VSU community together to relax and reset before exam week. Serving over 700 students this year, attendance continues to grow as students make it a can't-miss tradition.
