Advising for Spring and Summer 2025 has begun. Schedule an appointment with your academic advisor via the Slate Advising Portal, MyVSU. Your advisor will advise you on spring and summer classes and lift your registration hold. You cannot register for courses until you have met with your academic advisor.

If you are unable to schedule an appointment with your advisor, we will have WALK-IN Availability ONLY starting October 27 through November 6, 2025. You may get advised then. Be prepared to wait as students are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

The walk-in hours are Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. Walk-in hours are subject to change.

The course registration dates are below, so you can register for classes on your classification day.

November 4, 2025, at 7:00 a.m., Juniors

November 5, 2025, at 7:00 a.m., Sophomores

November 6, 2025, at 7:00 a.m., Freshmen
