VSU Courses on GeorgiaVIEW

GeorgiaVIEW is the University System of Georgia collaborative online course system, and is a complement to BlazeVIEW - the online course system at Valdosta State University. Since GeorgiaVIEW is operated as a collaborative, you may be enrolled in course sections along with students from other institutions in the University System of Georgia. As an online student at VSU, you may be taking some online courses that are hosted on GeorgiaVIEW, and others that are hosted on BlazeVIEW depending on your online degree major and your level of progress in the program. Some programs that use the GeorgiaVIEW course system are eCore, GOML, WebMBA, Transatlantic Studies, and the Organizational Leadership degree.

  • eCore@VSU
    The eCore® are core curriculum classes taught via GeorgiaVIEW and are designed for students who need the flexibility and convenience of online learning. Core classes are typically those classes required during the first two years of a college degree.
  • BlazeVIEW
    BlazeVIEW is the online course system for many VSU courses. BlazeVIEW supported courses range from web enhanced courses where traditional face to face instruction is supplemented with web features such as syllabi or lecture notes, to courses that are taught completely online with no on-campus attendance requirements.


Username & Password for GeorgiaVIEW Login
As an independent course management system, GeorgiaVIEW requires its own set of usernames and passwords. You will need to use your GeorgiaVIEW ID to log into this system. NOTE: You will not be able to access your online classes until the official first day of class.

GEORGIAVIEW USERNAMES:

GeorgiaVIEW Username Format:
Begin with VSU Live e-mail format (jadoe@) followed by institutional abbreviation (vsu) = (jadoe@vsu)

Example:

Name: Jane A. Doe
VSU Live email: jadoe@valdosta.edu
GeorgiaVIEW username: jadoe@vsu

Note: This username (jadoe@vsu) does NOT replace your institutional e-mail address (jdoe@valdosta.edu)

GEORGIAVIEW PASSWORDS:

GeorgiaVEW Password Format:
Your GeorgiaVIEW password will be the same as the Banner PIN you used when you logged in to Banner to register for classes for the current semester.

If you cannot remember your GeorgiaVIEW Password, please follow the directions below to have the GeorgiaView Password sent to your VSU email address.

  1. Log into the Banner Self Service
  2. Click on the Personal Information Tab
  3. Click on Retrieve eCore / GOML password Link
  4. The eCore / GOML password will be sent to your VSU email address
  5. Use your username and retrieved password to login to GeorgiaVIEW

* When you ask for a password reset it is IMPORTANT that you identify yourself as GeorgiaVIEW student trying to login to http://goml.view.usg.edu
