Learning in Retirement

Learning in Retirement link to catalog - Winter Term 2015

Learning in Retirement (LIR) is an organization for individuals 50 years of age and above that provides a unique opportunity for cultural growth, lifelong learning, and recreation. LIR is member-led and university-sponsored. Members are involved in determining curriculum, recruiting new members, managing the budget, and developing social programming.

LIR at VSU began in 1996. It is open to anyone 50 or older who wishes to learn, have fun, and make new friends. There are no tests or grades, and no formal education is required. Membership is $45 per term (Fall, Winter, and Spring), and entitles you to choose from among approximately 90 classes each term, most of which have no extra charge beyond your membership fee. (A few classes have an extra charge to offset instructor and supply costs.)

See links below for a class listing and registration form for the current LIR term, or call us at 229-245-6484 to be placed on the mailing list.
