Special Weather Statement
The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for
Southwest and South Central Georgia, including Valdosta and Lowndes
County, effective until 9 P.M. EST.
A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and
severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. People in the
area should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions
and listen for late statements and possible warnings.
