VSU to host International Dinner
The 24th Annual International Dinner will take place at 7 p.m.
on Saturday, April 8, at Park Avenue Methodist Church in Valdosta.
The International Dinner is the main event each year for
international students at VSU.
Every year since 1976, the students have organized an international
buffet and variety show for the community. In recent years
offerings have ranged from plantains from Belize to shepard's pie
from England to chapote from Kenya. After dinner, students
entertain guests with traditional and modern songs, dances and
skits. Many students also model their national clothing. Tickets
are available at the Office of International Programs through April
3. No tickets are available at the door. Adult tickets are $12,
students are $8 and children under 12 are $5.
