VSU hosts King Commemoration Jan. 16
Valdosta State University will host its annual commemoration of
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16 in
VSU's Whitehead Auditorium.
The theme for the event, sponsored by VSU Equal Opportunity
Programs and Multicultural Affairs, is "A Day On, Not a Day
Off!"
The program will feature Judge M. Yvette Miller of Atlanta. Miller
is the first African American woman to serve on the Georgia Court
of Appeals.
VSU will be closed in observance of the King holiday on Monday,
Jan. 17.
