TaylorSponsor: Dr. Zulal DenauxThe purpose of this research is to examine what effect the economic, political and social indices of foreign nations have in shaping tourism arrivals in the United States and how those effects can accurately and effectively predict future trends in US tourism arrivals. The primary data utilized in this study was obtained from the International Trade Associations I-94 Arrivals Program. The data outlines the number of non-resident arrivals to the United States between 1999-2019 and is broken down into the top fifty-two countries by arrivals. This represents roughly 96% of US tourist arrivals during this period providing a well-defined and reliable sample. As for research methodology, the study utilizes the aforementioned data, combined with variables from foreign and domestic indices such as GDP in the touring country, and the political party of the sitting US president at time of arrival, among others. These data points are combined using a panel technique to accurately examine and explain the relationship between these foreign and domestic indices and the United States tourism arrivals. The research intends to expand upon previous research by using the most relevant data, while introducing new economic, social, and political determinants to achieve the most accurate results. 36'
