VSU Pride Connection
The VSU Campus Pride Connection is a committee of Valdosta State University (VSU) that works to create an accepting and inclusive campus for LGBTTQQIAAP (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, ally, pansexual) faculty, staff, and students.
We strive to advance the mission and well-being of Valdosta State University and its stakeholders by learning, discussing, and addressing the issues and climate for the VSU LGBT*Q+ community.
The purpose and mission of VSU Campus Pride is to raise the voice of Valdosta State University students, staff, and faculty members who identify with the LGBT*Q+ community by maintaining a safe space; individuals may discuss concerns and resolutions, provide university programs and services, and empower one another through transformative advocacy and action on and off campus

Virtual Safe Space Training will be hosted October 12th - 26th! Participants are allotted two weeks to complete the training through a self-guided BlazeVIEW module and attend one virtual discussion with Safe Space Facilitators. The Safe Space Program is an initiative to educate allies who support LGBTQIA+ individuals in our campus community. The goal of this program is to provide a more appreciative and nurturing environment for LGBTQIA+ people at VSU by establishing a network of people who can provide support, information, and act as allies to LGBTQIA+ individuals within the campus community.
If you are interested, please register for the training through the Employee Training Portal no later than October 12th.
