Campus Operations Spring 2020

Effective Monday, March 23, Valdosta State's campus operations will be modified. As you are aware, VSU will offer online instruction to students throughout the remainder of the Spring semester, moving face-to-face and hybrid courses online beginning Monday, March 30. Many staff will be teleworking for the foreseeable future. Managers/supervisors will reach out to their employees regarding telework options.

Although not all offices will be physically open, all VSU offices will be open in a virtual format.

Please note that staff will continue to work a 40-hour work week. For some, this could mean a combination of teleworking, and physical or virtual office hours. However, all VSU offices will be virtually staffed by at least one individual who will be available remotely to respond to telephone messages and email messages within a 24 hour period. Additional duties will be assigned by managers/supervisors. Although all full-time staff will continue to work a 40 hour week, the virtual format will allow for a flexible work schedule.

Some offices will be open for public access Monday through Thursday from 10:00am-2:00pm; Odum Library will be open Monday-Thursday from 10:00am-7:00pm for faculty, staff, and students via card swipe access; and a few areas, including University Police and online counseling will continue to be available 24 hours/7 days per week. Any offices/departments not specifically included on the campus operations web page below are deemed as working virtually.

We’re doing our very best to support our normal daily activities during this time of uncertainty related to the global outbreak of COVID-19. Campus remains open and services are available with modified hours. We’ll keep you and VSU's coronavirus (COVID-19) site updated with relevant information as this global health situation evolves.
