Valdosta, Georgia is a major stop on Interstate 75 ideally positioned halfway between Atlanta, Georgia, and Orlando, Florida. The closest beach on the Atlantic Ocean is approximately two hours east while the nearest Gulf beach is nearly 2.5 hours southwest of Valdosta.
Valdosta and Lowndes County are home to Wild Adventures, which was named the Top Theme Park in Georgia in 2023 by Tripadvisor, the Valdosta Wake Compound, and Recoil Trampoline Park.
Outdoor lovers will find several golf courses, both public and private, many lakes for fishing and boating, and the Grand Bay Wildlife Management Area to explore. Foodies will love the many local restaurants, seasonal farmers markets, and u-pick experiences.

Valdosta High School has the winningest high school football program in America, Lowndes High School has won numerous state titles in football, baseball, and many other sports, and Valdosta State University has won 10 NCAA National Championships and 14 NDA National Championships in cheer and dance.
