Department of Political Science

Welcome to the Political Science in the College of Arts and Sciences. We are glad you have an interest in examining what our department has to offer. You can find information here about our two undergraduate degree programs: The Bachelor of the Arts in Political Science and The Bachelor of the Arts in Legal Assistant Studies. In addition, students may select a Minor in Political Science, Legal Assistant Studies, or Public Administration. On the graduate level, the department provides a Master Degree in the area of Public Administration.

Why Political Science?

  • We have designated advisors for incoming freshmen!
  • We have a cohort in the fall term for the freshmen so they take classes together!
  • In the spring term we will have another cohort for those students!
  • Plus, we have an honors track for the major!
  • We offer special programs such as the Model UN and Model Senate, both with regional and national competitions, plus the Study Abroad program!
