2012 MLK Celebration
Honoring Dr. King and his accomplishments
Upcoming events to look for:
- Wednesday, January 11, 2012-- The screening of the documentary STAND will take place in the Student Union Theater at 7:00 PM. The event is hosted by the AFAM program
- Thursday, January 12, 2012-- A panel discussion on the life and work of MLK will be held in the auditorium of Bailey Science Center, Room #1011. The panel will include community leaders from varying backgrounds. The discussion starts at 7:00 PM, and is hosted by the Philosophy department.
- Wednesday, January 18, 2012-- A commemorative march and candle light vigil sponsored by Alpha Phi Alpha's Mu Omicron Chapter and NAACP will begin at 4:30 PM. Line up will be at the corner of Patterson and Ann Street, and the march will conclude in front of the West Hall steps. The vigil will begin at 6:00 PM, and candles may also be given at that time.
