Guest Lecture Series Guest Lecture Series A goal of the Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business and Administration is to engage our students on a level that has a tremendous impact on their development as a business school student. The faculty in the business school has recognized that the traditional way of teaching alone is not effective and an active learning approach is necessary for our students to develop a deeper understanding for the material they are receiving in class. To achieve this goal, Dean Plumly developed the LCOBA Guest Lecture series that would provide our students with an opportunity to hear from community leaders that have left their foot print in the world of business. In 2015-16, the Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration offered a selection of guest lecture opportunities designed to equip our students seeking to become an entrepreneur. Each guest lecturer provided a unique testimony about their college experience, and shared how it prepared them for their career, as well as the experience they gained from the field.
