Today’s student is not only looking to complete their college degree, but added convenience in doing so. Therefore, in the transition from having a campus full of eighteen-year-old students to a mix of traditional and non-traditional students, LCOBA faculty and staff were determined to create a ‘one-stop shop’ to increase the convenience of our business school population. From this, the Student Engagement Center was born. The third floor of Thaxton Hall is dedicated to the Student Engagement Center and will allow our business school students to take advantage of the amenities within the center. The Student Engagement Center’s staff will provide guidance with the transition to college, integrate in-class and out-of-class learning, and facilitate student development both personally and professionally. We in the business school believe that meaningful engagement in the total campus experience enhances both academic and personal success, and we strive to make the Langdale College of Business a challenging place to engage and learn.
