Medical Terminology

INQR 2003

A seminar course exploring the creation and organization of the specialized terminology used in all aspects of medical endeavors including description of body systems, their pathologies, tools and procedures for analysis, imaging, and treatment as well as organization and administration of health care through the lens of personal, communitarian, and global experiences. Students will engage in and reflect upon the issues examined in the course evaluating real-life cases and analyzing the role of history and society in shaping medical practices, everyday choices, and rules, regulations, and beliefs that affect human health.
