A valid VSU 1Card is required to participate in the flu vaccine initiative.

Students interested in receiving the flu vaccine should call (229) 219-3200 to schedule an appointment. The cost is $10 and payable by flex, cash, or check at the Student Health Center. Those who wish to pay by credit or debit card should visit https://bit.ly/2R0aLC2.

A limited number of free flu vaccines will be available to students from noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, in the Patient Education Room on the second floor of the Student Health Center. This special flu vaccine clinic is presented in partnership with Walgreens and will provide 100 free flu vaccines to current students on a first-come, first-served basis.

FACULTY AND STAFF

Faculty and staff interested in receiving the flu vaccine should call (229) 219-3200 to schedule an appointment. The cost is $20 and payable by flex, cash, or check at the Student Health Center. Those who wish to pay by credit or debit card should visit https://bit.ly/2R0aLC2.

Free flu vaccines will be available to faculty and staff at the 13th annual Benefits and Wellness Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 31. This special flu vaccine clinic is presented in partnership with University System of Georgia Well-Being, a system-wide well-being initiative.

In Georgia, flu season typically runs from October to mid-May. During the 2017-2018 season, flu-like illness activity began to increase in November and peaked in the months of December, January, February, and March. It is important to note that flu can be detected year-round.
