About this field

The pre-dentistry track is designed to fulfill all the course requirements needed to apply to dental schools in the United States. This track also includes suggested coursework to prepare students to take the DAT exam.

The Valdosta State Difference

The pre-dentistry track was prepared by faculty in the Department of Biology who exclusively advise students that intend to apply for admission into dental school. The track is routinely updated to meet any new admission and testing requirements for this field. The Department also assists students with recommendation letters, applications, and shadowing advice. There is also a pre-dentistry student club housed in the Department of Biology.

The educational outcomes of this track will allow you to learn all the subject material necessary to achieve a competitive score on the DAT exam and it will also prepare you for your courses in dental school.
