The Master of Education in Elementary Education is designed to build on the Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Candidates are expected to refine this base, developing abilities to deal with more of the intricate aspects of the teaching experience.

The M.Ed. in Elementary Education program is fully online. Candidates will gain a comprehensive understanding of the knowledge, research, and dominant theories of early childhood education to support effective teaching of young children. The program also builds a strong link to classroom instruction and implementation of knowledge and skills in elementary school settings.
What You'll Learn
Candidates will master the knowledge and skills appropriate to the areas of research, learning, educational assessment, ethics, and law. Using this knowledge of young children, candidates will develop learning environments which address the intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and cultural needs of young children. In addition, candidates will develop and implement formal and informal assessment procedures to assess child development and learning, educational environments, and curricula for elementary education.
