BlueJeans Video Conferencing
Valdosta State University offers distance learning classes provided by two way interactive IP video conferencing technology. Video conferencing classrooms are equipped with advanced audio and video CODECs, computers, and cameras allowing these sites to connect VSU students to other IP video conferencing sites. VSU students can participate in courses originating at other institutions, and students attending at remote locations can enroll in VSU classes. The class environment, and the student-instructor interactions are similar to a face-to-face classroom. Using the presentation technology, students and instructors may share digital content, DVDs, multimedia files, books, photos, journal articles or other print materials with multiple conferencing sites.
Academic or Administrative Events
If you have a need for a one-time/reoccurring video conferencing meeting outside of your scheduled class times or for an administrative event, please complete the Video Conference Request Form. Reoccurring academic courses using video conferencing as the delivery method should be scheduled using the typical departmental processes.
Requests must be made at least 10 business days in advance to ensure proper setup and testing.
This form is not intended for use with reoccurring academic courses using video conferencing as the delivery method.
Reoccurring requests must be submitted every semester.
The Center for eLearning cannot provide video conferencing services for non-VSU events or to external businesses.
