About this field

The minor in Health and Physical Education is designed to develop your attitudes and behaviors by focusing on current health issues and strategies. It is open to students from any major who are interested in health, physical education, fitness, and wellness. Our program provides coursework that you can utilize to improve your personal health and physical fitness in conjunction with career preparation. It is not designed to meet requirements for Georgia public school certification in health and physical education.

The Valdosta State Difference

A variety of hybrid courses are offered during the Fall and Spring semesters. All courses can be applied to a concentration for other degree programs such as interdisciplinary studies. All the courses for this minor require no prerequisites or declaration of a minor. By offering flexibility and a wide range of course options, you will have the opportunity to create a personalized path to success.

 

Courses may go toward a concentration area in a major of study or a Master of Arts in Teaching for Health and Physical Education.
