b'From Daniela Reyes Escalonas Perspective. It was an honor finding out that we were going to share our results with a broader scope of people, especially when part of the audience was comprised of individuals who hold government offices and have the ability to put into work some of the suggestions our research recommended. The process of putting together our presentation was very exciting and nerve-racking, as it was my first time presenting to such a noteworthy and big audience. It was also my first time visiting the Capitol, and as soon as I walked inside, my excitement and nervousness grew. However, once I stepped in front of our poster those nerves went away and I felt confident in my presentationand I have Dr. Guptas, Dr. Csehs, and Candelarios support to thank for that. It was an amazing experience overall because we were able to finally share research that we worked so hard on for several months. I also enjoyed seeing the other posters and learning more about the topics. After our Georgia Undergraduate Research Collective Posters at the Georgia State Capitol presentation, we stayed in Atlanta for one more day to attend VSU Day at the Capitol. We had the opportunity to meet more people who worked there and understand how things worked behind closed doors, while also showing our Blazer pride. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and I am grateful to my research partner and faculty mentors for providing this opportunity.SPRING 2021 47'
