Sarah is Associate Professor of Dance at Valdosta State University. She received a Master of Fine Arts in Dance Choreography at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Vanderbilt University (TN). In the Summer of 2018, she completed the Aerial Sling 1 Teacher Training Program through Born To Fly Curriculum in Castle Rock, CO and is currently working in the certificate program. http://www.borntoflyaerial.com/
Sarah’s interests are interdisciplinary as she enjoys integrating her talents in film-making, photography, music composition, and physical fitness into her choreography while also expanding boundaries of genre and style. Courses taught include dance technique (modern, jazz, ballet, tap), Dance Conditioning and Wellness, Choreography, Dance Music Analysis, Introduction to Dance, and Dance Performance Ensembles.
She continues to perform professionally with various companies and artists in the region, including her company SWADanceCo. She has performed in and presented work in NYC through Forward Motion Theatre and RE:Vision. Most recently, Sarah has spent her summers with Peach State Summer Theatre as a performer and dance captain for the 2014-2016 and choreographer for the main stage in 2016 and 2018. Arnett is also a national judge for Dance Machine Productions and Boogie Fever USA and coaches crossfit locally.
