Ruth is Associate Professor of Theatre at Valdosta State University.
Beyond her responsibilities with VSU Theatre & Dance, she has worked with Peach State Summer Theatre as Scenic Designer, as well as contributed scenic designs to Florida State University’s School of Theatre. Her favorite design credits include: A Little Night Music, The Marvelous Wonderettes, Mary Poppins, 42nd Street, Les Misérables, The Little Mermaid, andAlways, Patsy Cline with Peach State Summer Theatre, Rikki Tikki Tavi, Almost, Maine, She Stoops to Conquer, and The Rocky Horror Show with FSU, Crave with Gold Lame Productions, and Othello and A Midsummer Night's Dream with The Globe of the Great Southwest.
At VSU, Ruth teaches Scene Design, Lighting Design, and Scene Painting. She acts as Resident Scenic and Lighting designer for VSU Theatre and Dance.
She has earned a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre with an emphasis in Scenic Design from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design/Technical Theatre from Eastern New Mexico University.
