Philip W. Bishop
Sr. Online Instructional Designer
- Master of Business Administration - Management
- B.F.A. in Mass Media: Emphasis in Video Production
For the past 10 years, I have worked in higher education to support faculty, students, and staff. As an online instructional designer, I partner with faculty to build online/hybrid courses and curriculum and implement national standards for elearning at VSU. I also facilitate an eLearning course that helps faculty develop instructional design strategies for online teaching.
As a member of eLearning, I have helped assist institution-wide initiatives in Competency Based Education, Smart Path Core, provide Instructional Design Training, and establishing standards in Universal Course Design in Accessibility. These duties include: building modules in D2L, providing Quality Assurance checks of learning content, ensuring course content alignment with program objectives, and designing and implementing rubrics and quizzes within Online, Hybrid, and Face-to-Face classes.
I would love the opportunity to meet with you and further discuss your role and vision for improving learning here at Valdosta State University.

"[Philip Bishop] has been instrumental in course design and development as well as incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and accessible in student and faculty support. The early semesters of e-Languages were unchartered territory for all involved and Philip helped lead the program with grace and confidence."
