April joined the CHSS Advising Center in 2020 and currently advises undergraduate students in the Department of Psychological Science. Prior to working as an Academic Advisor, April worked as the Recruiter for the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) here at VSU, a 5-year grant program to help students from migrant/seasonal farm working backgrounds. She has worked for VSU during her time as an undergraduate student as well, serving as a tutor for CAMP and the Academic Support Center in a variety of subjects.

April earned her Bachelor of Arts in History in 2018 from Valdosta State University and is currently working towards obtaining her M. Ed. in Higher Education Administration. She is passionate about serving students to ensure they receive all the guidance necessary to successfully graduate and find a job in their field of choice. In her free time, April enjoys reading, painting, gaming, and spending time with her family.
