Beta Alpha Psi Mu Zeta Chapter Named Gold Chapter
Mu Zeta is a Gold Chapter
The Valdosta State University Beta Alpha Psi - Mu Zeta Chapter was recognized as one of 12 Gold Chapters at the annual meeting held from August 8-10, 2013 in Anaheim, Ca. This placed the chapter in the top 4% of all Beta Alpha Psi chapters and demonstrated that we go above and beyond what is expected of most chapters. In order to become a Gold Chapter, Mu Zeta had to meet the following requirements;
- Been a Superior Chapter for school year 2012
- Been a Superior Chapter for school year 2013
- Participated in a regional meeting, either as a meeting host/co-host, chapter operations presenter or Best Practices competitor
- Participate in the 2013 Annual Meeting in Anaheim, CA, either as a meeting host/co-host, chapter operations presenter or Best Practices competitor
The KPMG Foundation sponsors the KPMG Gold Challenge Competition. The competition lets BAP students put their multimedia skills to use by creating a 7-minute video that explains and/or demonstrates why their chapter deserves the award.

Beta Alpha Psi is the accounting and finance honors organization open to accounting and finance students with a major and overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. The Mu Zeta Chapter was installed in 2009. Sarah Sellers (sarsellers@valdosta.edu) is the 2013-14 Chapter President and Dr. Ray Elson (relson@valdosta.edu) is the faculty advisor. The chapter meets on Thursdays at 5pm in Pound Hall 301.
