Collaboration Request

The mission of the Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion (SDI) is to educate on diversity, enhance equity, and embrace inclusivity. SDI is here to support student organizations and the campus community provide opportunities of engagement and awareness through events, programming, and presentations. If you want to collaborate with SDI, please provide the following information as accurately as possible.

    We understand and affirm that: 

    1.  Student ID cards MUST be scanned at event.
    2. Event MUST be uploaded in Blazerlink.
    3. Any funds allocated will be used solely for the purpose stated. 
    4.  Under no circumstance can a request be processed retroactively.
    5.  Application is NOT finalized until final approval of funding is granted.
    6. This organization will be responsible for filling out all proper paperwork before and after the event. Failure to complete paperwork could result in no funding.
    7. Requests for purchases on/off campus must be submitted to the SDI office at least thirty days before the scheduled event.
    8. Applicants must attach a sample of all advertising to be distributed for the SDI funded event. All advertisements must have the SDI logo AND the phrase “Sponsored by The Office of Student Diversity & Inclusion.” The SDI Logo will be emailed to you upon approval application.
    9. VSU’s Non-Discrimination Policy states that “Valdosta State University is committed to maintaining a fair and respectful environment for living, working and studying. To that end, and in accordance with federal and state law, Board of Regents’ policy, and University policy, the University prohibits any member of the faculty, staff, administration, or student body from discriminating against any other member of the University community because of that person’s race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic or national origin, religion, age, disabled status, or status as a disabled veteran.”
    10.   Student organizations will only be able to receive funding from the SDI up to 2 (two) times per academic year, and no more than 1 (one) funded applications per semester. No more than $500 per application will be allocated to any organization.
    11.   The Office of Diversity and Inclusion may dismantle student organization funding at any time as it is deemed appropriate. 

      We the undersigned, hereby authorize any official or office related to the funding process to review our organization’s financial records. We also agree to use allocated funds only for expenses approved by the proper officials.
