About this field

Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioners (AGNPs) focus on providing primary health care to adults, from adolescents through the senior years. AGNPs evaluate, diagnose, and manage common, acute, and chronic health problems among adolescents, adults, and the elderly, and also educate their patients on wellness strategies and disease prevention.

The Valdosta State Difference

The program is a hybrid model which consists of 5 weekend class meetings during the fall and spring semester, and 4 weekend class meetings during the summer. Our programs are approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and accredited by the CCNE, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
