There is a large body of research indicating that learning is improved when the arts are integrated into the curriculum. Students can be more productively active both physically and mentally.  They learn through additional learning modes and celebrate interpretations of the world in multiple ways.  A teacher using the arts as meaning makers can take advantage of the unique power of literature, music, art, and drama to deeply affect students intellectually and emotionally.  It is also our hope that through these experiences, children will come to appreciate musical theater and experience the joy and beauty  that theater can bring to one’s life.
