Military Families Learning Network
The purpose of the Military Families Learning Network is to serve military family service professionals. MFLN is part of a U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) and Dept. of Defense (DoD) partnership and comprised of various concentration areas. MFLN’s mission is to engage online communities of professionals and disseminate information surrounding best practices, evidence-based research, training materials, and programming efforts.
The Family Development Team (housed in the Department of Psychology, Counseling, and Family Therapy at Valdosta State University) aims to provide professionals with online resources and information supporting work with military families. Our focus connects largely to early intervention, family strengthening, family violence prevention and treatment. We welcome you to explore and connect with us on this online community.

Our webinar topics focus on the important work service professionals do with military families. We invite you to participate in our upcoming webinars and offer various continuing education opportunities for live and archived webinars (for up to one year after the live date). Types of CEUs offered: MFLN Family Development provides CEUs through the UT Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work. These educational hours may be submitted by professionals to meet continuing education requirements for renewal of Social Work, Professional Counselor, and Marriage and Family Therapist licensees. The UT Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work is an approved CEU provider in all but the following 11 states: Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, and Oklahoma. However, participants are encouraged to check with their stats' latest licensing rules to confirm reciprocity and CEU rules.
Our webinars are open to the public in addition to Department of Defense (DoD) employees.
