Blazing Through Books Program

Thank you for your interest in the Blazing Through Books program at the Sullivan Literacy Center. If you want your child to Participate in the Spring 2020 Blazing through Books program, please complete the registration form on page 2 and return it to the Sullivan Literacy Center in the College of Education room 1001. Please keep page 1 for your own records.
Who: VSU students are volunteering their time to read and write with the community children in grades K-5.
What: Children will be involved in one-on-one and small group literacy skills building activities (i.e. reading, writing, listening, & speaking).
Where: The Sullivan Literacy Center is located in the Dewar College of Education room 1001.
When: Every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-4:50 p.m. The Blazing Through Books program will begin Tuesday, February 2, 2020, and end Thursday, April 23, 2020.
Why: To build up your children’s reading and writing skills, motivation, and confidence related to reading and writing so that they become lifelong readers and writers.
Cost: Monetary and/or book donations are welcome to help build up our materials library.*Blazing Through Books is a feeder program for the Sullivan Literacy Center L.E.A.P. Tutoring Program. LEAP= Literacy Education Assessment Program
