Victoria Russell is an Associate Professor of Spanish and Foreign Language Education at Valdosta State University (VSU). She is the coordinator of online programs for the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and she is the director of the VSU sponsored summer study abroad program in Cádiz, Spain. Victoria earned a Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition and Instructional Technology from the University of South Florida in 2009, an M.A.T. in Spanish Language and Literature from Jacksonville University in 1994, and a B.S. in Business Administration with a Specialization in Spanish from Auburn University in 1990.

Her areas of research interest are online language teaching and learning, computer assisted language learning, input processing / processing instruction, and interlanguage pragmatics. Her work has appeared in journals such as Foreign Language Annals, The Internet and Higher Education, and the IALLT journal.

In her spare time Victoria likes to spend time with her family, read, swim, and travel.
