Thank you for using MyVSU, your portal for access to all of your campus services. We understand that you may have questions about how the portal works, how to access it, and why we decided to make the change to this system, so we have developed an FAQ below to answer our most popular questions.
MyVSU is a one-stop access point for all of your VSU services, whether you are faculty, staff or a student. It offers links to all of our services, as well as a single sign-on feature for many of our most-used services (Banner, Blazeview, Atomic Learning, and and ever-growing list of others). It also includes content and resources for our on-campus community, including news, updates from the President and special features like the photo of the day.
A portal is a point of access that allows you to securely gather diverse sources of information into one uniform page. In our case, it gathers all VSU services into one curated user interface: MyVSU.
SSO is a method of access control that allows user to log in once (for example, into the MyVSU portal) and access multiple services that, independently, would require separate logins (for example, Blazeview, Banner, etc.)
Log into the MyVSU Portal using your Active Directory (email, Blazeview, computer lab) credentials.
Because of the diversity of services and providers that VSU engages to provide our students, faculty and staff with the resources they need, Single Sign-On (SSO) is not available for all services in the MyVSU Portal. The list of SSO services, however, will continue to grow as we make arrangements with providers.
You may customize your portals in the top right area of the Portal. Click the gear icon to turn on editing, then drag and drop portals into the order you'd like. To add new portals or services, search for them and click the add or subtract icon.
Information displayed in the ad/message channels, however, is customized for you by the VSU Data Warehouse.
If you have further questions about the MyVSU Portal, please contact Web Services at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will respond to your question as quickly as possible. If you have problems with an individual service, please contact the VSU Solutions Center or follow Help instructions within the service.
If you have problems with an individual service, please contact the VSU Solutions Center or follow Help instructions within the service.
For security, the system will log you off due to inactivity.
