How do I log into campus computers?
GHP faculty, staff, and students will be issued a unique Active Directory account that they can use to log into campus computers. This username and password will be provided by GHP administration.
Please note that these credentials will only function in classrooms set up specifically for GHP and on the VSU-GHP wireless network.
What should I do if I forget my username or password?
Jonathan Johnson, with GHP's technical support team, can assist GHP faculty, staff, and students with retrieving their username or resetting their password. If he is unavailable, the IT Helpdesk in Odum Library created a request for a VSU system administrator to reset the password for an account. However, please note that VSU system administrators are only available 8AM - 5:30PM Monday through Thursday and 8 AM - 3PM on Friday.
GHP users can print from computers in GHP labs to our campus card-swipe Xerox printers. In order to do so:
- Send your print job to the VSU Follow-Me B&W or VSU-Follow-Me Color printers.
- When prompted for your username, please enter your 9-digit GHP ID number. Please do not include the trailing digit separated by a space.
- After sending your print job, swipe your VSU ID card at one of the card-swipe Xerox.
- Choose your print job on the printer's touch screen.
- Press Print or Print All.
Please continue reading below for steps if you would like to print from your own PC or Mac computer.
Can I print from my own computer?
GHP users can print from their personal PC or Mac computers and claim the prints at any of our campus card-swipe Xerox printers. In order to do so, though, they will first need to install the proper print driver. The PC driver can be downloaded from our GHP Print Portal. Meanwhile, please click here for the Mac print driver. The VSU Follow-Me B&W Queue prints in black and white and can be claimed from any card swipe printer. Meanwhile, the VSU Follow-Me Color Queue driver can only be claimed from color printers.
GHP users can make copies in GHP labs using our campus card-swipe Xerox printers. In order to do so, please follow the steps in our GHP copying guide.
Which computer labs can I use?
Please review the GHP Classrooms page for the locations, and additional information regarding computer labs that are accessible to GHP.
Can I connect to the VSU network?
GHP faculty, staff, and students can connect their personal wireless devices to the VSU-GHP wireless network. Depending on your device, you may be prompted to accept a certificate from the network in order to complete the connection process.
If you encounter technical issues while connecting to the wireless network, please contact Jonathan Johnson or other members of the GHP technical support team in Nevins Hall 2033.
Am I eligible for VSU accounts, such as a VSU email address?
Aside from the computer lab and wireless account listed above, VSU accounts are not available to GHP faculty, staff, nor students (e-mail, personal web space, etc.)
Can I reserve a room in the library?
GHP faculty and staff can reserve either room 2633 or 3270 in the library. In order to do so, you would need to complete the room reservation form. Please enter GHP into the department field when filling out this form. After completing this form, you will be contacted by Odum Library's Reference Desk.
How can I contact a GHP librarian?
Janie Cowan, the GHP Librarian, or her clerk, will be available in room 3609 of Odum Library.
Can GHP check out equipment from the New Media Center?
GHP faculty and staff can checkout equipment from the New Media Center in the library. In order to do so, please review their New Media Center policies for GHP page.
