About Me

Hello! My name is Whitnee Pittman and I’m from LaGrange, Ga. It’s a small town that is an hour below Atlanta. I’ve always had a passion for young children even as a child. At my elementary school, Hollis Hand, I would help escort younger children to various activities after school and sometimes read to them. In middle school I was in Girl Scouts and helped to watch over the younger girls in the troop. When I got to high school I sometimes watched over the nursery at my church, First Baptist Church on Fannin Street. I also volunteered at a local elementary school’s after school program where I assisted in watching over the children and helping with homework.

Education

I am currently a Junior at Valdosta State University and I plan to graduate in December of 2008. I attended Gardner Newman Middle School for grades 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th. I attended LaGrange High School for grades 9^th– 12^th and graduated in 2004 with a college prep with distinction diploma.

My Loves

I love to travel! I love to just get in a car and ride. It doesn’t matter where I am. There’s something unique about each and every place and each place has so many picture perfect moments. I also love to do yoga. It’s a great way for me to relax and focus on the inner instead of the outside. I believe everyone should try it! Skill level and flexibility doesn’t matter. Another thing I love to do is laugh. Laughter is truly the best medicine. I love to find the humor in situations but I also know when to laugh and when not to laugh. I love to go to church, although, I don’t always make it to every sermon. It’s something about attending a service that just liberates the spirit and no matter how weighed down you feel going into service you feel so much lighter going out. My last love is my family. There are no other people that will hold you down through everything.
