Hi!  My name is Wendee Corbitt. I graduated from Atkinson County High School in 2002.  Then I attended South Georgia College in Douglas, Georgia.  At first I majored in nursing but realized that was not for me.  So I changed my major to Speech Language Pathology.   I graduated with my Associates of Science in Education in 2005.  Currently I am a senior at Valdosta State University in Speech Language Pathology.  I will graduate with my Bachelors Degree on May 5, 2007.  I will start Graduate School on May 9 to pursue my Masters.  I love my major, and I am looking forward to working with kids that have communication problems.

I grew up in the small town of Axson, Georgia.  I live in the country on a farm.  I am the middle child of three.  I have an older brother and a younger sister.  My mom started working at school when I began Kindergarten.  She wanted to be closer to us and to be off work when we were out of school.  As we were growing up, my dad spent lots of time with us.  He took me hunting and fishing on the weekends.  My dad also introduced me to the sport of softball.  I started playing in the fifth grade and played on the varsity team in high school.   My parents raised me up in the word of God.  We are members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  I was very active in our youth program called the Youth of Zion.  I am very thankful to have such great parents.

I am an outgoing country girl.  I love to be outside.  I love playing and watching sports like softball.  I began playing in the fifth grade.  I made the all area team all throughout my career at Atkinson County High School.  I played my first year of college.  I also love to go deer hunting and fishing with my dad and boyfriend.  I have a miniature schnauzer named Georgia.  She is the cutest little pup.  I am sure you guessed it; I named her after my favorite football team, the Georgia Bulldogs.   I love to go the games.  My favorite place to go on Spring break and during the summer is the beach.  I love to layout in the sun and play in the waves.  Also, the best thing to do in the mornings is to walk along the beach collecting seashells and starfish.
