Valdosta State University
Hey everyone! My name is Ginny Wilson and I was born and raised in Atlanta,Georgia. I have blonde hair and blue eyes and I attend Valdosta State University. I have three sisters, one younger and the other two are older. My younger sister is named Kim and my older sisters are named Andrea and Lisa. My mother and father were also born and raised in Georgia. My major is undeclared right now, but I am possibly leaning towards the possibility of Psychology or somewhere along that line. I decided to attend Valdosta State University because I thought it would be a good way of getting away from everything that has brought me down in my past, and start a new life. It has been very hard getting used to this new environment but as the days go by, the better it gets.
The Freshman Year Experience Program
Your Freshman Year Experience at Valdosta State University is critical in laying the groundwork for a successful academic and professional career. Employers view a well rounded successful academic career as evidence that students can be equally successful and productive in their chosen fields. Success begins by mastering the three principal tasks of the first year student: Academic skills development, adjusting to college life, and developing academic and career goals. The Freshman Year Experience program has helped me out a lot through my first year because it is helping me observe all the possible areas that I might be interested in when I need to choose my major. Also, the way that some of the harder classes are already picked out for you and are already going to be on your schedule before you actually pick out classes is also very cool.
