Hello! My name is Veja Dennis. I am the 3rd of 4 daughters. I graduated from Cross Keys High school in Atlanta, Georgia. I was involved in many clubs and organizations, I was the President of the Interact club and student council, I was the Co-Captain of the swim team, and i was a member of the softball team. I am currently a Freshman at Valdosta State University in the state of Georgia. I am Currently an Early Childhood Education Major. I choose to attend VSU because of the excellent education department, not to mention the beautiful campus and warm weather. I am a very outgoing and happy person. I love to volunteer my time tutoring kids . I also love to spend time with my family and friends. Some of my hobbies include, reading, cooking, swimming, rollerblading, and talking.

The Purpose of the Freshman Year Experience ( a.k.a FYE) is to help incoming freshman adapt to their new college life. FYE helps students to manage time, and make wise school decisions. FYE has greatly influenced my freshman year. It has helped me in many ways. I learned great study habits that helped me make the grade i needed , I learned how to use my extra time wisely, I learned how to meet the right friends, and I learned how to set and accomplish important goals. I will carry the skills that I learned from FYE not only throughout my college career but throughout my life.
